Garrett Wait is a Shareholder with Kriger & Schuber, APC. He provides general counsel and litigation services to community associations. In transactional and general counsel matters, Garrett advises Association boards from both a legal and practical perspective, finding solutions for clients that serve their specific communities. When Associations find themselves in court, Garrett's aggressive approach has resulted in numerous favorable outcomes at the early stages of litigation. Early in his career, Garrett spent five years at Kriger Law Firm, guiding the collection court department, assisting associations with general counsel work, including drafting vendor agreements, revising governing documents, and prosecuting CC&R enforcement actions. Garrett rejoined Kriger & Schuber, APC, after two years as a civil litigator in San Diego and Orange County, focusing on business and real estate matters.
Born in California's Central Valley, Garrett studied journalism at Pepperdine University before attending law school at the University of San Diego.
Garrett spends most of his spare time with his wife and daughter and is an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants, 49ers, and Golden State Warriors. Garrett's memberships include the East County San Diego Bar Association, the California Bar, and the San Diego County Bar Association. He serves on the Community Associations Institute – Education Committee.
